In Bari, Materias promoted together with Regione Puglia, ARTI Puglia, the U.S. Consulate General Naples, AWE and Cotec Italia the international W.IN. forum. The initiative was conceived by Valentina Battista, Institutional Relations Manager at Materias and Italian winner of the 2024 IVLP Impact Award. Pres. Luigi Nicolais and Tracy Roberts Pounds, U.S. Consul General in Naples, also took part.

Materias took part in Naples in the second stop of the MICS roadshow. Pres. Luigi Nicolais spoke in a panel on new materials, while Laura Ascione, Project Manager at Materias, presented the Tess-IN project.

On the occasion of Innovation Village 2024, Aniello Cammarano, Director of Materias, presented the Materias Award to SERVATI. Maria Emilia Mercurio, Technology & Innovation Manager at Materias, served on the jury.

Sanidrink inaugurated its new laboratories at the Ferrarelle plant in Riardo. Those attending included Carlo Pontecorvo, Chairman of Ferrarelle Società Benefit, Pres. Luigi Nicolais, Caterina Meglio, CEO of Materias, Aniello Cammarano, General Director of Materias and inventor of the Sanidrink technology, and Rosalba Moretta and Emilia Renzi, Sanidrink researchers.

Caterina Meglio, CEO of Materias, took part in Madrid in the event “Innovación: sustantivo, singular, FEMENINO,” promoted by the Italian Embassy and Cotec Italia, focused on innovative female entrepreneurship.

In Montalto di Castro, the first permanent building in Italy made with 3D printing and approved by the Civil Engineering Authority was completed. Etesias, an innovative SME backed by Materias, contributed to the digital workflow and construction components.

Materias took part in Naples in the PerfeTTO Network training session dedicated to Technology Transfer Officers. Attendees included Pres. Luigi Nicolais, Aniello Cammarano, General Director of Materias, Laura Ascione, Project Manager at Materias, Maria Emilia Mercurio, Innovation Manager at Materias, and Valentina Battista, Institutional Relations Manager at Materias.

Materias hosted a visit from the U.S. Consulate General in Naples led by Tracy Roberts Pounds, U.S. Consul General in Naples. Participants included Pres. Luigi Nicolais, Caterina Meglio, CEO of Materias, Charles Lobdell, Daniella Zelaya and Giuseppe Palmieri.

Valentina Battista, Institutional Relations Manager at Materias, moderated in Naples a focus session within the Infiniti Mondi acceleration program dedicated to connections between Italy and Canada. Speakers included Mariangela Contursi, Valeria Fascione, Sameena Qureshi and Costanza Conti.

Materias took part in Palermo in the National Biodiversity Forum. Caterina Meglio, CEO of Materias, Aniello Cammarano, COO of Materias, Laura Ascione, Project Manager at Materias, and Valentina Battista, Institutional Relations Manager at Materias, attended, with Battista speaking on research valorization in the biodiversity innovation panel.

In Turin, Materias approved its 2023 financial statements. Present were Caterina Meglio, CEO of Materias, and shareholders Sergio Dompé, Gian Maria Gros-Pietro, Flavio Gianetti, Federico Mautone, Fabio Vaccarono and Salvatore Cincotti.

Maria Emilia Mercurio, Technology & Innovation Manager at Materias, and Brunella Corrado, Senior Researcher at Materias, attended In-Cosmetics 2024 in Paris for meetings and technical seminars supporting the development of AMPure’s anti-acne dermocosmetic line.
